Presentation
By forging an indissoluble link between music and stage performance, the À bout de souffle musical ensemble offers performances in theatres and public spaces. Its creator and artistic director Stéphane Delincak, pianist, choir and orchestra conductor, has been working for over fifteen years with stage director Patrick Abejean. This fruitful collaboration has given rise to numerous projects involving singers, musicians, dancers, choreographers and actors in powerful stage creations.
With the capacity to stage from two to fifty artists, the Ensemble welcomes talented Baroque instrumentalists to its orchestra (Purcell’s operas The Fairy Queen, Platée, Rameau’s Castor et Pollux…), top-level lyric singers (lyric shows Courants d’airs en rayons, Anacréon-Actéon…), as well as musicians at the crossroads of several aesthetics (shows Allons! Sacrées histoires, Elixirs…), fusing vocal music with a contemporary, creative stage dimension. Major venues such as Odyssud, Scène nationale d’Albi, Pin galant in Mérignac and the Sarlat cultural center have hosted their creations. Read +
